Our Kelp Powder is made from the whole plant, a type of brown seaweed harvested from the cold Atlantic waters off the coast of Canada. This “superfood” is highly nutritious, naturally containing Mucopolysaccharides, Lipids, Iodine, Phlorotannins, Phenolic compounds, amino acids, and minerals (including calcium). Kelp is sometimes also called Rockweed due to the foot-like holdfast it uses to anchor to the ocean floor.
